Boisdale have announced the date of the 6th Cigar Smoker of the Year Dinner in association with VIÑA CARMEN Wines. Considered the world’s most prestigious Cigar Awards event outside of Havana, the evening brings together the cigar industry, writers & producers for an evening of cigar on the terrace, a 3 course meal and the chance to see who will be crowned cigar smoker of the year.
Previous winners, nominees and guests have included Simon Le Bon, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Baroness Trumpington, the late great Burt Reynolds, Jonathan Ross, Kelsey Grammer, Andrew Neil, Tamer Hassan, Charlie Sheen and James Cosmo.
Taking place on Monday 3rd December 2018 at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, the evening kicks off from 6pm with canapes, drinks and a cigar reception.
Followed by a 3-course meal and awards presentation, the evening will end with The Glenrothes Whisky & more cigars back on the terrace.
The awards ceremony will be hosted by Tom Parker Bowles & Randolph Churchill with 4 cigars for each guest handed out on arrival.
The Glenrothes Whiskey will be creating select reserve cocktails for the reception which will be served alongside champagne.
The 3-course meal will also end with a glass of The Glenrothes 12 yr old Speyside Single Malt Whisky. We were lucky enough recently to be invited to the launch of The Glenrothes Soleo collection where we tried the 12 year which is a really smooth sipping whisky so cannot wait to try it alongside a cigar.
Tickets are available and can be purchased from Boisdale here.
