We’ve been hooked on Mob City and The Walking Dead and now FX have released a teaser for the upcoming vampire thriller series called The Strain.
From the mind of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan and based on their book series, The Strain has already received a 13-episode series order and plans to debut the series in July.
Here’s the premise of The Strain:
A plane lands at John F. Kennedy International Airport with lights off and doors sealed. Epidemiologist Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and his team are sent to investigate. On board they find two hundred corpses and four survivors. The situation deteriorates when the bodies begin disappearing from morgues. Goodweather and a small group of helpers find themselves battling to protect not only their own loved ones, but the entire city, from an ancient threat to humanity
The teaser doesn’t give much away but it’s enough to get our attention. Is it just us or is anyone thinking ‘Vampire in Brooklyn’?
