London Cocktail Week: 4 Cities Under One Roof For One Night Only

London Cocktail week has crept up on us once again and as we struggle to plan our schedule of all the great activities we will get to see, today we hear work that 4 citites are coming together under one roof in what is considered the single most ambitious project ever held at London Cocktail Week since its inception five years ago.

Four of the world’s most renowned spirits brands have challenged the world’s best bartenders from four leading cocktail capitals to design, build and open a bar for one night only on Saturday 10 October.

The bartending elite from London, New York, Singapore and Paris, each representing one spirit; Patrón Tequila, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin, GREY GOOSE vodka and BACARDÍ rum – will go head to head to be crowned the winner of #24HRBARBUILD; by you.

With its increased attendance from Londoners and tourists alike, London Cocktail Week continues to gain in popularity, and we can certainly couch for this having been dedicated patrons for year now.

The event this year has moved from its original home and hub of Covent Garden to London’s Spitalfields Market. Marking a milestone in the festival’s history, 24Hr Bar Build will be its biggest stand-alone event ever.

Set to challenge and celebrate the recent recognition of London as dominating the international cocktail scene, London Cocktail Week will be home to four new bars for one night only. Each bar will channel the personality of one of the four leading spirits, led by the four Team Captains from the world’s bartending elite.

Each team will consist of six leading bartenders from six different bars from each respective city. These teams represent an international city synonymous with their cocktail culture – New York, London, Paris and Singapore, who will all be vying for the title of the World’s Best. This is not bar vs. bar but city vs. city, all housed under one roof in East London.

The contenders?
From Singapore, Joel Fraser from the award-winning Cufflink Club will lead his team with BACARDI rum.
• London’s Richard Woods from internationally acclaimed Duck and Waffle with Patrón Tequila
• New York’s Nomad Hotel Bar Director Leo Robitschek with GREY GOOSE vodka
• Carina Soto Velasquez at Candelaria, which was named 9th best bar by World’s 50 Best Bars, with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin.

Each city team will be judged across a wide range of skills from an expert judging panel, along with the general public who attend the event, to determine who will be awarded the title of overall winner.

Each menu will include four cocktails, including one non-alcoholic serve, which will test the teams on their creativity and how they push the boundaries of cocktail craft. 24Hr Bar Build is your chance to discover four of the world’s leading cocktail cities in one place, for one night only.

Tickets are £35 and entry includes access to the entire venue along with five cocktail tokens for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic serves created at 24Hr Bar Build. Additional tokens can be purchased at the event and food will also be available. (Sounds like a great deal to us)

Tickets are limited so click here to get yours so you can to secure your place and choose your city. The first 100 tickets are now available on a first come, first served basis, after which 50 tickets will be released at 9am every Monday and Thursday until Monday 28 September.
