London Cocktail Week 2018 Guide

London Cocktail Week is back for another year and as the capital goes crazy for cocktails, we’ve done some research on some of the events and places you need to check out this year.

London Cocktail Week Village
For anyone wanting to know the latest cocktails, meet some of the greatest mixologists and taste some of the most delicious cocktails, then you need to get down to the hub which has moved this year to the new venue at Brick Lane.

They’ve gone a whole lot bigger to fit more people in and entry is included with your festival pass. With three distinct spaces starting from the Back Yard Market, moving through into Brick Lane Yard and culminating in The Boiler House, there is a lot of cocktails to be sampled.

If you are heading down there stop by the Fever-Tree‘s Whisky & Ginger Bar. Fever Tree have teamed up with whisky bar Black Rock to create four unique whisky blends to mix with Fever-Tree’s Ginger Ale, Spiced Orange Ginger Ale, Smoky Ginger Ale and Ginger Beer, crafting four serves that will be exclusively available for London Cocktail Week.

The village doesn’t open until Wednesday 03 October however you will be pleased to hear they have a later license (11pm last orders!)

The Botanist Gin Foraging Experience
Gin-lovers are invited to ‘go wild’ at The Foragers Table hosted by The Botanist at The Shoreditch Treehouse. The experience includes a three-course culinary tour of wild London, exploring the flavourful finds that can be foraged in the city.

Curated by Craig Grozier, renowned Scottish chef, founder of Fallachan and in-house chef for The Botanist Gin, the experience seeks to reconnect people with nature to bring to life the ethos behind The Botanist Gin. Each dish will be expertly paired with a cocktail created by Marcis Dzelzainis, drinks curator at Sager + Wilde, Rosey Mitchell, global competition winning bartender from Three Sheets and Robin Honhold from The Lyan Group.

For those seeking a strictly gin affair, The Botanist will also host a series of private tastings with a foraging twist on Saturday 6th October. Each 45 minute session includes a neat gin tasting, followed by the opportunity for guests to pick their own garnish, and sip on their creations in the Treehouse bar.
