In Time UK Premiere

So last night, we stuck on our nice shirt and took a trip to the Curzon Cinema in Mayfair to attend the premiere of Justin Timberlake’s new film In Time.

All the stars were in attendance on the red carpet getting papp’d up and doing their interviews.

We hurried in and took our seats before Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy introduced the film.

The film is set in the future, in a world where time has become currency.

Basically the premise is you stop aging at 25, but there’s a catch: you’re genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it.

The rich “earn” decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day.

When a man from the wrong side of the tracks (Justin) is handed loads of time from a random stranger (as you do) he is forced on the run, but not without picking up a hostage (Seyfried)

The film was shot very well and was very slick. The script was fantastic how they referenced the currency as time.

However, I think I was expecting a full on action film, which this film was not. If you go in expecting a cool Sci-fi thriller/drama, then happy days. If you’re thinking it will be something along the lines of a Vin Diesel film, then sorry to disappoint.

All in, it was a watchable film, with cool dialogue and slick outfits (which I think we’re all Hugo Boss) it makes it a film worth seeing.

The best way I can describe this film is in the following way:

“you’d buy it on DVD but not worth buying it on Blu-Ray, and not at full price, but on a 3 for £20 offer”
