The Pacific Cigar Co. LTD and Infifon Hong Kong Limited, exclusive distributors of Habanos, S.A. have launched the Hoyo de Monterrey Primaveras, dedicated to the spring festival of the Chinese lunar year, inaugurating the Year of the Ox.
The cigar is presented in a special box of 18 cigars with each cigar measuring 167mm in length with a 48 ring gauge.
Demand will be high for these cigars as only 8,888 boxes are being produced and it is expected the cigars will retail for around HK$685 per cigar.
The cigar is classed as a mild cigar, similar to the other cigars in the Hoyo De Monterrey range.
The Hoyo de Monterrey brand goes back to the plantation of the same name located in San Juan y Martínez*, in the heart of Vuelta Abajo, without a doubt one of the most famous plantations (fertile lands) symbolising the richness of the Cuban lands where the considered world’s best tobacco is grown.
It is unlikely, these cigars will end up on UK shores and will no doubt be snapped up as soon as they hit the shelves meaning they will quickly become a collectors item.
