Universal Pictures have just unveiled their first official trailer for “Get On Up” the James Brown biopic which stars Chadwick Boseman (42) as well as a great supporting cast including Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd.
We think you can guess the plot of the film but it’s based on the incredible life story of the Godfather of Soul, the giving a fearless look inside the music, moves and moods of Brown (Boseman), taking audiences on the journey from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.
The new movie is directed by Tate Taylor (The Help) and is set to get on up into cinemas in August.
