Facebook Music is launching tomorrow, which has been spreading all around the net, however nobody knows exactly how this will work within the Facebook site.
But 1 Facebook employee accidently let it rip and leaked the details……on Twitter?!?!?
Ji Lee, the creative director that Facebook, sent out the following tweet earlier:
The “Listen with your friend” feature in ticker is blowing my mind. Listen to what your friends are listening. LIVE.
Within minutes, Lee deleted the tweet, but the damage was done. A screen grab was taken and then the tweet spread like Virtual Wildfire.
Not only will all music you’re listening to appear in the just-launched right-side ticker, there will be a link to “Listen with your friend”, that when clicked, will allow you to listen along to the same song at the same time.
An Epic Fail on Lee’s part, or was it a genius PR move to get tongues wagging? Either way, its worked and now everyone is excited to see the new feature…as soon as we can work out how the new Facebook layout works.
No doubt, this feature is already live on Lee’s Facebook account, and he probably didn’t realize he wasn’t supposed to talk about it yet.
Earlier, Lee used his Facebook account to leave the status:
Ji Lee is listening to Black & Blue by Mike Snow and feeling happy it’s another beautiful sunny day in California.
The new service should be announced publicly at F8, as well as an idiots guide to the new Facebook Layout
