Marvel’s phase 3 is beginning to seep into cinemas and today we are happy to share the first trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange starring Bennedict Cumberbatch as the doctor.
Doctor Strange sees Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch making his debut in the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Stephen Strange. A brilliant, but cocky, surgeon, the good doctor’s fortunes change after a tragic accident leaves him with hands unable to carry on as they once had. Desperate to regain his talents, Stephen dabbles in the mystic arts, and becomes more powerful than he could have ever imagined. Which means that he’ll be inheriting the standard “great responsibilities” thanks to his new found powers.
The trailer gives off an Inception meets superhero style movie and suggests a more grown up Marvel movie which we can’t wait for. How this will play into Avengers: Infinity War, we’ll have to wait and see.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit cinemas here in the UK on 28th October (Nov 4th in the US) and also stars Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen & Chiwetel Ejiofor.
