Cigar Event 28th May @ Ten Manchester Street Hotel

A very good evening to you all and an especially great evening for us as we’re at the monthly cigar event at No. Ten Manchester Street Hotel.

Tonights evening promises to be another great night with Jimmy and Daniel from Hunters & Frankau are also here to introduce us to the Ramon Allones, Allones Extra. The 2011 Edicion Limitada is one of the better looking Ramon Allones vitolas weighing in at a lovely 5 5/8″ length and 46 ring gauge. Also to be introduced to us is the ‘super premium’ Elements Eight rum.

Stay tuned for further details as the night progresses as I will be updating this specific blog as the night unravels…

We’ve just been handed the Allones Extra. It is gorgeous. Never thought I’d say that about a Ramon Allones.

Lovely chocolatey smell.

Jimmy has taught us that the wrapper leaves are aged for 2 years and are shade-grown.

The two binder leaves are sun-grown.

Upon someone’s question as to the difference between these and Cohiba’s on a general note Jimmy has mentioned the extra fermentation of the Cohiba’s seco and ligero leaves.

Sorry for the delay in updating. Really enjoying the cigar and Joel, the F&B manager is spoiling us with a lovely cocktail of his own genius called the Tobacco Road and some lovely food.

Jimmy is indulging us with his general knowledge on cigars and we’re all having a jolly chatter.

And that’s that from No. Ten. Thank you to Joel and Jimmy for hosting a lovely evening for us and looking forward to the next one on the Last Monday of June.

Stay tuned for my write-up review of the Allones Extra coming soon.
