We heard a few weeks ago that Warner bros are moving forward with Superman and Batman, set for 2015 and even released a teaser image to whet our appetites.
Today comes news that Warner Bros has officially announced that Ben ‘Daredevil’ Affleck has been cast as Batman in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel
During the making of Man Of Steel there were endless rumours that the studio wanted Ben Affleck to play Batman and possibly direct. Affleck denied the rumours, but now it seems that there was some truth to them.
“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman,” said director Zack Snyder. “He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
The film is expected to smash into cinemas July 17th 2015.
Affleck isn’t the first actor to play both a Marvel and DC Character. Ryan Reynolds played the Green Lantern and Deadpool, but we wont talk about The Green Lantern!
