**Section Warning: we recently got ‘word of the day’ toilet paper and have tried to use all the new words we’ve learnt in the following review…**

The opulence and showmanship that is associated with the Baroque movement was brought vividly to life at the launch, as Gerry Calabrese’s latest offering opened its doors for the first time. Complete with a lavish decor of ornate Louis XIV chairs, hanging paintings, and designer uniforms by fashion icons PPQ; Baroque lived up to its name, as guests took in the sheer luxury of the venue.

Offering one of the most impressive champagne lists in Europe, and a live performance space that promises to be regularly filled with world-class acts, Baroque announced itself on the London scene. Amidst the trademark 42- glass champagne coupette towers, famous faces including Josephine De La Baume and Olivia Grant enjoyed the live music played by some of the UK’s hottest acts right now.

Delilah started proceedings with a rendition of ‘Go’ which proved to be a crowd pleaser. Wearing a show stopping black leather and chiffon Falguni and Shane Peacock dress, she enthralled onlookers and performed a number of hits from her album ‘From the roots up.’Delilah, Baroque Playboy

Delilah mentioned that she is really looking forward to her UK tour and is excited to be collaborating with Prince in an upcoming project! And we’ve recently learnt from Ian Burrell (UK Rum Ambassador) that the MOBO nominated artist will also be performing at the Gold Barrel Awards this Saturday – busy girl.

Even with her blossoming music career she is still finding time to write a daily fashion blog for Vogue but admitted she had to leave the party early as she was getting up at the crack of dawn to film an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks!

Superstar DJ Mark Ronson arrived hand in hand with his gorgeous wife Josephine De La Baume, looking dapper in an electric blue velvet blazer. He came straight from the studio where he is working on a new track for La Roux. When asked about his upcoming projects, he mentioned that he will be embarking on a global DJ tour and will be in Australia over New Years, where he will be playing two sets in one night-first in Melbourne and then in Sydney!! Another none sleeper like Delilah!

Josephine, who is always happy to support Mark, is also busy filming a new TV series in London, and is about to go on tour with her own band.

Simon Ambrose spoke about his new art gallery project in Shoreditch, “its a cool art gallery and event space we are launching soon, it’s in a great spot and we will be doing some contemporary art through the week and events on the weekend”

Closing out the nights star performances, Mark Ronson took to the decks and had the party-goers hitting the dance floor til the early hours… not a bad Tuesday in our book!
