Cohiba Revamp Their Cigar Bands On Full Line

Following on from the recent news that the Cohiba Behike cigar range was to get an updated hologram band, Cohiba have just announced that the iconic Cohiba band will also get a revamp.

Cohiba is known as one of the most prestigious Habanos brands, and is regarded as their flagship brand – identifiable by their signature yellow, black and gold band.

The brand was created in 1966, solely as gifts for heads of state and visiting diplomats, as well as President Fidel Castro.

The Cohiba production takes place in the “El Laguito” factory, in Havana, Cuba and comprises of 4 different lines:

The Línea Clásica, composed of 6 vitolas developed between 1966 and 1989.
The Línea 1492 was launched in 1992 to commemorate the 5th Centenary of Christopher Columbus’s arrival on the island.
The Maduro 5 line was introduced in 2007 with 3 new vitolas
The Cohiba Behike, the most exclusive Cohiba line which was introduced in 2010.

The new band for the Línea (line) Behike incorporated advanced technological techniques with additional security measures, which established a new technological trend in the bands of the Cohiba brand as well as in the cigar industry worldwide.

The new band of Cohiba, now extends to all sizes and incorporates a new hologram design that can be certified, as well as other increased security measures that allow a better traceability of each Habano of the brand.

Expect the cigars with the new bands to be arriving around the world over the next few weeks with a few months where both bands will be available.
