Ladies and gents, we’re proud to bring you news today that will undoubtedly spice up your London Cocktail Week.
Some of you will remember our last trip to Buffalo Bourbon Empire where we sampled some cocktails, had some shots of some great bourbon together with some Sam Adams beers, and even took a masterclass in mixology. Well, it’s back for another round, this time with a twist. Last time around, we had a prohibition era-inspired speak easy pop up. This time, the Buffalo Bourbon Empire is drawing the spirit of 196os Americana and the world of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising; Mad Men, between the dates Friday 4th to Saturday 12th October, and back again Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th October. From the sharp suits, to the retro decor, to the classic American cocktails on offer, Buffalo Trace will transport you back to the world of 1960s New York advertising. So step inside The Buffalo Bourbon Empire, and just like Don, prop yourself on a stool, loosen your tie and order yourself a Buffalo Manhattan.
The soundtrack to your night? Think Ella Fitzgerald, Marlena Shaw, and Ann Peebles and the likes. The soulful jazz is a sweet accompaniment to the drinks served.
American classics such as the Manhattan, Blood and Sand, and the Fred Collins Fizz are all being specially prepared for the Buffalo Bourbon Empire using Buffalo Trace’s unique Kentucky bourbon. The even better part of all this? London Cocktail Week wristband holders get it all for just £4 a cocktail, and others still get a great deal at £7 between 5:30pm and 10pm.
This year Buffalo Bourbon Empire have really pumped the masterclasses a few notches up by having none other than industry expert and Buffalo Trace Master Blender Drew Mayville giving participants all the knowledge they need to know to make great cocktails, and learn about Buffalo Trace itself daily starting at 6:30pm.
