Some of you will know, some of you won’t… but the tide is changing in the world of streaming music.
It’s no secret that team Cut The Cap like cigars to be Cuban, our whisky to be single malt and our movies IMAX. Yep, quality is important to us and that’s why we’ve be trying out the Danish High Fidelity music streaming service Tidal for about a month now (review to follow in a few weeks).
So far we have to say are extremely impressed by the quality (320 kbps on Spotify extreme vs a whopping 1411 kbps on Tidal) and it seems we’re not the only ones… Mr Carter, aka the cigar cigar loving Jay-Z has recently acquired them and today is the day we find out what his plans are.
Coldplay, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé and Madonna have all turned ‘Tidal blue’ on their social platform in anticipation of tonight’s big announcement.
