We knew today was going to be a good day but weren’t exactly sure why. Until now… and the cracking news that Floridita (a favourite venue of Cut The Cap, located in the heart of London’s Soho) will be opening a new pop-up rum bar called aptly named The Rum Shack! #Result.
Its like the perfect storm for us… you have Floridita, one of Soho’s best Latin-American themed restaurant, bar and clubs and as of February 1st they will be adding a touch of the Caribbean to their already fine establishment with a rum themed bar which promises to show off all the possibilities hidden in rum. There will be 15 rum-based cocktails and 5 sharing options. The site will be available for private hire, where guests can create their own beach party beneath the streets of Soho. Smaller groups can book tables and still enjoy the delicious cocktail available. The design and creative responsibilities have been handed to Joanna Berryman of Matrushka – so expect a unique and modern take on a tropical paradise!
We asked are good friends at DesignMyNight.com for there expert thoughts on things and this what they had to say..
‘There seems to be a new RUMdemic hitting London at the moment. It is hardly surprising, though, as it is the perfect complement to another one of London’s new favourites – Latin culture. Street food, tapas, tequila, music… you name it; London can’t get enough of all things Latin. So only good things can be expected from Foridita’s Latin and Caribbean infused Rum Shack. The Pop up will kick off from February 1st and run for as long as possible’.
