Juan Lopez Selección Superba UK Regional On Sale

This week Hunters & Frankau launched the Juan Lopez Selección Superba cigar in London. The latest 2016 UK Habanos Regional Edition.

The announcement took place the Churchill bar & Terrace at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in central London.

With just 6,000 numbered boxes of ten cigars this is truly a limited edition cigar needed for any cigar smokers humidor.

Although thoroughly modern in shape (replicating the Montecristo Open Eagle and Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de San Juan), the presentation of this cigar also has several features that hark back to earlier times. For instance the cigar band and the Tapaclava (the label covering the nail that secures the lid) are both recreations of much earlier examples.

This is the second time that Juan Lopez has been chosen to produce a Regional Edition for the UK, following the 2009 Selección Suprema.

The Juan Lopez Selección Superba was initially sampled by Hunters & Frankau in Havana during the Habanos festival in March 2016 and, more recently a very small number of pre-release cigars were presented to guests at the Annual H&F Summer Cigar Party in June.

At each of these events it was generally agreed that the cigar was already displaying plenty of bold flavours and character and had remained faithful to the Juan Lopez brand style.
