According to Edwin Starr War is good for nothing and of course we agree, but one thing it does do is spawn a great collection of movies themed around the subject.
And today is no exception with the trailer for Brad Pitt’s Fury.
The film is set in April, 1945 as the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
We can’t help but expect Pitt to revert to hi Lt. Aldo Raine accent from Inglourious Basterds, but the film does look really good.
Fury fires into cinemas here in the UK on 22nd October and also stars Shia ‘Madman’ LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Peña.
