It’s been a while but this week Film Poster Friday has a triple whammy.
First up its M Night Shyamalan’s “After Earth” starring Big & Little Smith (that’s Will and his son Jaden)
Set 1,000 years after cataclysmic events force humanity’s escape from Earth to Nova Prime. Legendary General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai (Jaden Smith). When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai’s craft, they crash land on a now-unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon, giving him a chance to be a soldier like his father. It will probably have some kind of twist like its all a dream, or in a childs imagination – who knows.
Second up we have the Poster for Last Stand starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as a disgraced LAPD cop in a small town is trying to stop a drug cartel leader, Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), who has just busted out of prison and is trying to make it across the border with $400 million. I’m sure that fish out of water storyline has never happened before.
And finally we have the Comic-Con poster for The Expendables 2…….you don’t need us to tell you what that is about.
