Multi-award winning fashion designer Marios Schwab has turned his brilliant eye to the terrace at aqua kyoto. Set on top of the old Dickins & Jones building in the heart of London’s Regent Street, the terrace has become one of the top spot this spring/summer for everyone looking for a light lunch or cocktails in an alternative and striking setting in central London. Inspired by his S/S 2015 collectionits clear to see Marios’ designs have enhance one of the London’s best rooftop bars.
The terrace draws on the signature ideas behind his spring/summer collection, and features Herculaneum prints as a nod to Marios’ Greek heritage. What’s more, textiles inspired by the Japanese art of origami pay homage to aqua kyoto’s Japanese legacy. Finally, a striking infinity mirrored bar sits alongside beautiful lighting displays and making the terrace a true sanctuary for people to enjoy the summer months.
On the collaboration, Marios says: ‘Personally, I love the risk of creating something and making it successful. This is what a creator should do, constantly challenge him or herself to create something people want to observe. I enjoy applying elements of my world into a given space.’
To accompany the brand new terrace, aqua London’s Bar Manager Luca Missaglia has worked closely with Marios to create a specialist drinks menu using super-premium vodka Cîroc (go choice people!) The drinks includes the Charcoal Fizz, made with Cîroc Vodka, Crème de Poire and fresh strawberries, the Mercury Drop, a zingy mix of Cîroc Vodka, coconut and elderflower, and the Smoky Fig, using Cîroc Vodka ,Crème de Fig and a smoky Mezcal.
All of the cocktails have been created with the inimitable style and inspirations of Marios in mind, and are perfect to be enjoyed on the beautiful terrace overlooking the city.
During the day, the Marios Schwab for aqua kyoto terrace will provide a unique haven to escape the hustle and bustle of Central London, and an ideal environment for a relaxed, outdoor lunch. As the sun sets in the evening, the rooftop space transforms into a captivating environment where guests can enjoy a selection of expertly made cocktails, with spectacular views of the city.
