Experience the world’s best summer cocktails at aqua

This summer, the reigning global winner of World Class Bartender of the Year, Charles Joly, has joined iconic restaurant group aqua to launch a crafted CÎROC VODKA cocktail menu, available for a limited time in aqua London and if you happen to be that side of the world Hong Kong. Behind the bar in the UK for the very first time since he was crowned and for one night only, Charles will showcase the menu with interactive sessions for cocktail lovers on 29th July – yes we’ll be there and you can be too… more on that further down.

But first back on point. Working closely with one of London’s leading mixologists, aqua Bar Manager Luca Missaglia, Charles has created an exclusive and elegant menu called Spirit of Summer and which is comprised of five new cocktails inspired by summer destinations. The drinks were first unveiled at aqua Hong Kong and have now travelled with Charles and Luca across the globe to aqua nueva, and are available until 31st August. Served at the newly re-opened Spanish restaurant these limited edition cocktails are rumoured to provide a truly cross-cultural experience for London guests.

Leading restaurant group aqua has continued its dedication to delivering the finest contemporary dining experiences with the re-opening of aqua nueva in June 2015. Inspired by rich Spanish culture, the new design by Robert Angell Design International and menu by Head Chef Alberto Hernandez makes aqua nueva an exciting destination restaurant and bar for Spanish dining in the capital. With its renowned terrace overlooking Regent Street, aqua nueva provides a hidden sanctuary reminiscent of sun-drenched Spain in the heart of the West End. The space is framed with a striking copper-coloured vaulted ceiling, designed to imitate the inside of the renowned sherry casks of Jerez, making it perfect central London destination bar to enjoy World Class drinks.

Having battled it out for the title of World Class Bartender of the Year in his native USA, Charles Joly went onto compete globally against finalists from over 50 countries. This culminated in him winning the hugely coveted global title at the World Class Global Final in London in September 2014. World Class is an internationally recognised mark of distinction for mixology that spans the globe, celebrating bartenders who are synonymous with sophistication, impeccable service and push the boundaries of cocktails today.
