Friday evening in London was surprisingly pleasant last week, so I took it upon myself to light up something that has been sitting in my humidor fro about 2 years and have a nice smoke.
The cigar in question was a Davidoff 4000. I was given this bad boy as a gift from my Father in law and it’s been in the humidor ever since.
I was with my father in law and he opted for the Bolivar Belicosos Finos which I had smoked the previous week and couldn’t stop raving about.
To begin I found the cigar quite harsh. This could be due to the fact that my humidor is starting to reach retirement age and I need a new one.
As the cigar went on I could taste the flavours coming through.
To be honest there wasn’t allot I could say about this cigar except that only at the end I really started enjoying it and for the first time I actually smoked till my fingers were almost burning from the burning end.
I was getting a warm nutmeg and vanilla tastes coming through, but this was only at the end.
All in all I’d say there are better, cheaper cigars to smoke e.g. a Bolivar Belicosos Finos that I absolutely loved when I smoked.
