Get some winter sun at Biras Creek Resort…

There’s been more than one occasion over the last few weeks where we’re wished we were in hotter climates and today we’re finally decided where we’d like to jet off too…

Biras Creek, a secluded boutique resort in the Caribbean is now officially open following a half-million dollar renovation project to upgrade each of its 31 private guest suites, along with enhancements to Hilltop Restaurant, the picturesque outdoor pool and arrival dock area. It’s located on  Virgin Gorda, (the third-largest and second most populous of the British Virgin Islands) which is often referred to as an unspoiled, luscious destination which features some of the best beaches in the Caribbean.

Now this is where is gets cool… Biras Creek is accessible only by boat or helicopter (yes please!), the stunning property is located on a strip of land nestled between two hills and surrounded by the protected lagoon of the North Sound, the open Atlantic Ocean and the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

On further investigation we found out each of the property’s 21 Ocean Suites and seven Garden Suites received new aromatic Spanish Cedar baseboards, crown moulding and doors, along with the installation of new hardware and vanity doors in the bathrooms. In addition, each of the guest rooms feature striking artwork which display various images of the British Virgin Islands.

The two Grand Suites and the property’s Premier Suite, Biras’ most exclusive offering, also received new living room furniture that includes sectional sofas, chairs, tables and ottomans. Fresh artwork and textured rugs round-out the internal room improvements.

At the award-winning Hilltop Restaurant and Bar, where Executive Chef Jermaine “Monk” George serves delicious savoury Caribbean fusion cuisine, new ceiling fans and lighting have been installed to create a more comfortable dining experience. Planters and fresh flowers also add ambience to the space, along with the addition of new furniture in the lower terrace where diners can enjoy the stunning views of the North Sound. Hilltop will also be offering a new Happy Hour menu featuring light fare from 3 to 6 p.m., seven days a week, along with a new breakfast menu launching this month.
