Valentine’s Ball & A Leap Year Party lined up for the VAULT Festival Lates specials

VAULT Festival Lates comprises of off the wall parties that will keep you dancing for hours on end, set to happen over a number of days each week from 27th January until 5th March 2016. Ranging from ticketed events from Fat Tuesday, Artful Badger and Denim to a whole host of free events which will make VAULT Lates an unforgettable experience. Ticketed events are starting at £10 via vaultfestival.com.

This year VAULT Festival Lates will bring a unique and eclectic line-up ensuring every night is different… Friday 29th sees the Official Opening Party and 3D Disco, encompassing performances and DJs amongst eye watering visuals set in a truly unique venue.

Over the two months VAULT Lates will bring in a number of very special guest hosts but known as the “most avant-garde club night” Time Out and Denim will present VAULT Lates Leap Year Party, with a multi room takeover. It only happens once every 4 years so make the most of it we say! Expect a night of outrageous queer revelry from queer punk bands to favourite underground cabaret acts on Sunday 28th February to help raise money for the MAC AIDS Foundation supported charity, Positive East. Finding love can be a tricky one in the capital so Artful Badger are here to help, presenting their 2016 Valentine’s Ball the audience are invited to an adventure of passionate performances set for mischief and match making. The 2016 Valentine’s Ball will be held over two nights from Friday 12th – Saturday 13th February. 

Pleasure seekers beware, Time Out will be presenting FILTH, imagine a silent disco with a twist where the shadowy caverns will play host to a dirty event of wickedness while Standon Calling will close the Lates programme with a true festival experience. Known as an overgrown house party these guys are sure to pull out all the stops to create a night to remember in a unique and exciting venue. The B-Movie Ball is a time to dust off the fancy dress box, with chances of winning bubbly prizes for best dressed its well worth the hassle. All money raised from this event will go to the current refugee crisis so party for a good cause! If all the above wasn’t enough VAULT Lates have pulled in Ceilidh Liberation Front, known as London’s most radical and most colourful ceilidh band. They will be converting the cavernous vaults with vigour and vitality whilst honouring roots and traditions on Friday 26th February.

Every Wednesday free entertainment will fill the main stage thanks to folk pioneers The Nest Collective, bringing their own-branded and unique sound that is sure get everybody ready for the weekend ahead. But VAULT doesn’t like waiting for Friday, to celebrate early VAULT Thursdays will be bringing free DJs and live music every week to help kick the weekend off with a unique offering of hand picked talent. Special guests to be invited down to VAULT Thursdays include No Coward Soul’s Whiskey Jiggler, Gyro and Me For Queen.

Since its inception in 2012 VAULT has hosted over 250 productions, from outrageous comedy acts to hard-hitting political theatre and experimental new work from Britain’s most exciting emerging artists. 2016 promises to deliver another feast for the body, soul and mind with an international array of performances exploring themes such as gender, mental health, conflict and much more.
