We’ve just caught the first trailer for The Purge: Anarchy which is a follow-up to the 2013 film called The Purge, Funny enough.
The sequel stars Zero Dark Thirty actor Frank Grillo and Boardwalk Empire’s Chalky White Michael K Williams.
From the teaser it seems that the main character and his lady break down just before the annual purge starts.
If you haven’t seen the first film The Purge is a 12-hour event where all crimes, including murder, are legal. There are no police, ambulance, or even Nandos!
Sounds like London when the Tube strike was on!
The film hits UK cinemas from July 2 and US cinemas from June 20.
We’re not sure they will make a ‘killing’ from the box office (get it?) but it looks like an enjoyable popcorn movie.
