James Blake performed an intimate DJ set at Baroque

It’s Thursday, it’s your birthday (please avoid singing 50 Cent) so what do you do? DJ at Baroque of course, well you do if you’re award-winning musician James Blake – to celebrate he performed an intimate DJ set at the Mayfair in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Since its inaugural launch last week, Baroque has introduced itself as one of London’s most sought after live performance spaces, and acts have already included Mark Ronson and Delilah. The latest in a line of high-level British musical talent, James Blake displayed his trademark style in a fantastic DJ set that had everyone on the dance floor.

After his performance, James stayed and enjoyed some drinks with his friends, clearly impressed by the splendid surroundings on display.

In what it is quickly become a trademark of Baroque, bespoke cocktails were served using the finest ingredients… the signature of the night being CIROC Vodka cocktails and Champagne and this was paired with smoked salmon and creme cheese blinis, deep fried shrimp with peri sauce and mini chocolate eclairs  – not too shabby in our book!
Celebrating his birthday, James indulged in one of Baroques unique Champagne towers with his friends. Speaking to James he seemed in high spirits, mentioning that he was working on a new album and that receiving one of Baroque’s signature Champagne towers made him “feel like a real birthday boy.”

Sounds good to us! Maybe we should mention to the management that its Cut The Cap’s 2nd birthday on November 5th…?!
