A new series of Scotch cocktail masterclasses coming your way!
From the 26th of September through to March 2017, The Drift Bar & Restaurant will be home to a Love Scotch pop up, hosting a series of Scotch whisky cocktail masterclasses and events which will allow visitors to enjoy twists on the classic cocktail, learn about the versatility and diversity of Scotch and discover that there is a flavour that appeals to every palate. At the centre of this 6 month journey will be a diverse selection of Scotch whiskies, including Talisker 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch, Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky, Singleton Spey Cascade Scotch Whisky Single Malt, Cardhu Amber Rock Scotch Whisky and Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve.

So the Masterclasses… An experimental and interactive mixology masterclass for private bookings of up to ten people. Priced at £15 per person, participants will learn to mix and muddle a cocktail based on their mood. Feeling fiery, sweet or calm? The pro mixologist has selected a Scotch cocktail to match four different moods, which visitors will choose from and then make while listening to the story behind each cocktail and the Scotch used to craft it. Two cocktails are included in the ticket price, as well as a full whisky tasting.
Or… Switch Up Your Favourite Sip with a Scotchtail Masterclass
The Scotchtail Masterclasses shows the diversity of Scotch by experimenting with it in classic cocktails, where traditionally other spirits would have been used. The Mojito becomes The Scottish Flora using Cardhu Amber Rock and the Espresso Martini becomes the Morning Skye using Talisker 10 Year Old. Scotchtail Masterclasses are available for private bookings of up to 10 people and include two cocktails for £20 and three cocktails for £30.
And that’s not all! Why not, “Press for Whisky”?
If masterclasses aren’t your thing, book the #LoveScotch Snug upstairs. ‘Press for Whisky’ to get your choice of two cocktails delivered straight to your seat at the push of a button.
And if that was enough the semi-private space by the downstairs bar is available to hire for Scotch parties, corporate gatherings or a fun night with friends offering a sophisticated twist. Dressed in cosy throws, vintage cameras and an expansive display cabinet of Scotch Whisky, The Drift is guaranteed to keep you warm through to spring!
