VIDEO: Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure 2 X Metaxa 12 Stars Pairing

With the weather warming up, it was only right I took myself back to the man cave for another cigar pairing. This time the cigar of choice was a Hoyo De Monterrey Epicure No.2 paired with the original greek amber spirit – Metaxa 12 Stars.

Served on the rocks as recommended I took myself into the cave to explore how this fine spirit worked with the cigar.

Metaxa 12 Stars:

Appearance: Radiant amber, with copper reflections.
Bouquet: Lively, concentrated and aromatic. Elegant notes of dried figs, orange peel and fine spicy aromatic herbs.
Palate: Velvety, silky, with complexity. An intense mouth feel with dark cacao, honeyed figs and prunes, dried orange with a touch of liquorice.
Finish: Rewarding ending; a touch of spice and orange peel that build in a climaxed intensity at the finale.
