One who, with patience & dedication, has learned all there is to know about BRGRS, and is ready to share that knowledge with a fortunate few

Along with cigars and alcohol, food, in particular burgers are becoming another one of our strong suits. We’d like to think through dedication, commitment and a healthy dose of hard work we know a thing or two about burgers! On one of many tours-of-duty we encountered BRGR.CO – the sophisticated burger joint that gives access to gourmet food with out the pretentious surroundings and staff that are often part and parcel of that kind of food standard.
The result is something quite special and has won them many fans from across London and further afield.

BRGR.CO launched its first UK outpost in London’s Soho in December 2012 and 2 years later off the back of this success is set to expand its empire with a new site on Chelsea’s illustrious King’s Road this December. The brand which first coined the concept of “BRGROLOGY” – the science and art of building a better burger – at its first site in Soho, will bring a team of Brgrologists, Lettuce Analysts and Grill Sergeants to SW3, and with them, its premium grade patties.

Purveyors, foremost, of quality, and on a quest to highlight that not all burgers are created equal, BRGR.CO’s resident team in Chelsea will satisfy a generation of burger snobs with patties that are hand-made daily each morning using the finest cuts of 28-day-aged beef from the Duke of Buccleuch Estate in South West Scotland. Available in three classic choices (4oz, 6oz and 8oz) they will be prepared to enhance the natural flavours of the beef, with each burger served deconstructed allowing diners to build the burgers as they wish. Optional sides and sauces will include the popular Parmesan truffle fries, made with Parmigiano Reggiano, chilli con carne, vegetable crisps, Keens vintage cheddar and malt tarragon aioli.

From the drinks menu guests will be able to indulge in oreo and vanilla bean shakes, homemade lemonade, boozy iced teas as well as cocktail specials such as the Tweeters Tipple and Smoky Jack. Cementing its “burger-snob” status, BRGR.CO’s second UK site will also serve a BRGRLICIOUS afternoon tea – a twist on the British institution – and a BRGR.CO brunch menu, set to launch in early 2015, that will be exclusive to the new restaurant.

Commenting on the Chelsea opening and responding to the booming burger scene, Nadim Hammoud, CEO of BRGR.CO says, “It’s a crowded marketplace but there’s always room for an exceptional burger. At BRGR.CO we are the “brgrologists” of the industry – evident from the way we choose to serve our burgers deconstructed, to our house rules of making everything fresh daily – and we take pride in this. Working closely with our suppliers, we’ve risen to the challenge of creating premium patties and making a burger taste great without the need for toppings. The fast-food scene is shifting towards accessible-gourmet and our Chelsea site will be another opportunity to bring Londoners a better grade of burger – which we’d like to replicate across the UK. Eventually we hope to launch BRGR.CO internationally to ensure that every time the world chooses to eat a burger, it’s an outstanding one.”

The 80-cover Chelsea site will reflect BRGR.CO’s ethos of simplicity, encompassing tonal earth colours throughout, with dark oak tables and chairs. The dining room will provide a calm and contemporary setting, ideal for relaxed afternoons and weekend get-togethers, and an outdoor terrace seating area will offer the perfect ‘people watching’ spot on the buzzing King’s Road.

BRGR.CO’s signature artworks, the character cow heads, will also be on display throughout the restaurant. Each creation will be designed by local artists and designers. The range will change seasonally, following a charity auction with proceeds going to local London charities.

The restaurant will be open from 12pm through to 12am from Monday to Thursday, 12pm through to 12.30am on Friday, 10am through to 12.30am on Saturday and 10am through to 11.30pm on Sunday, serving BRGR.CO’s all-day menu for dining and takeaway.
