Warner Bros recently announced it is developing a remake of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” without creator back Joss Whedon, who wrote the original film and the TV Series.
Whedon took it online and joked how the studio should leave his creation alone. But THR has learned that Warners approached Whedon to develop the remake last year.
After thinking about it for a bit, he decided he would rather focus on other projects like Marvel’s “The Avengers”(Which we can’t wait for). 20th Century Fox also had the chance to take on the project, but passed as well.
Warners then stepped in and hired an unknown writer, Whit Anderson, betting that audeinces want to see another “Buffy” movie.
