Cohiba Talisman Gets Global Launch in London

Last week Hunters & Frankau hosted the global launch of the Cohiba Talisman (2017 Edicion Limitada) in the Garden Lounge of The Corinthia, London.

The party had guests arriving from all over the world, including fellow Habanos distributors and Casa del Habanos owners, all there to help celebrate the release of the latest Limited Edition from Cohiba.

“Cohiba – the Ultimate Collection” a cigar and humidor display was on show, with many old and rare Cohibas dating back several decades, while Harriet Brocket launched her latest photographic exhibition “Cuba”, bringing some Havana colour to an overcast English evening.

The very first box of Cohiba Talismans off of the production line was raffled with all proceeds donated toward helping victims of hurricane Irma in Cuba. Over £10,000 was raised.

Ruinart Blanc de Blanc Champagne was served alongside three bespoke cocktails created especially to pair with the Cohiba Talisman. Matthieu de Gottal Chocolatier has crafted a selection of fine chocolates exclusively for the evening and Difference Coffee Co will be on hand to provide guests with the world’s best coffee.

There was also a selection of Havana Club rums, Dalmore Scotch whiskies and Hennessey cognacs from stations inside the courtroom for guests to enjoy.

The live Cuban band, Son Yambu, ensured that this English garden party had a distinctly Latin twist.

Hunters & Frankau was also delighted to welcome HE Mrs. Teresita Vicente Sotolongo (the Cuban Ambassador for the UK), Manuel Marrero (the Cuban Minister of Tourism), Leopoldo Cintra (Commercial Vice president of Habanos), Jose Maria Lopes-Inchaurbe (Development Vice president of Habanos) and Rodi Manuel Valdez (Vice president of Tabacuba).

The Cohiba Talismán measures in with a 54 ring gauge x 154 mm – a heavy ring gauge Habano, in line with the brand’s latest launches and has a medium to full strength flavour, characteristic of the Línea Clásica blend and which stands out for its elegant and charismatic “pigtail” finish.

The leaves have been aged for over two years, awarding a complex and highly aromatic character.

The Cohiba Talisman are now available from cigar retailers and priced at £69.99 each (yep you read that right).

However these cigars won’t stick around for long so get your hands on them while you can.
