Adi-Slam Tournament

At the weekend, I was invited to take part at the Adi-Slam Basketball tournament for charity.
I’d been practising for weeks (I say weeks but really I went twice) and felt ready to ‘slam dunk da funk’.

I thought that because some of the greatest Basketball players smoke cigars, I should be ok right?!!?

The tournament took place at Brentwood leisure centre and was organised by RWD magazine and had teams from all over the urban scene. Obviously RWD Magazine (with Mario from Towie), SB.TV (featuring Jamal Edwards) Grimedaily.com (featuring MC versatile) Last FM, Urban Nerds and DIY.

With performances throughout including a PA from Wretch 32, we knew it was going to be a good night.

Upon arriving I was ushered into the VIP player’s area where I was handed a fresh Adidas kit as well as a fresh pair of Basketball trainers (at least I looked the part)

The day went well however we lost all out games but we played well and that was the main aim of the day.

DJ Swerve was on the decks and the event was hosted by ‘the name you can trust’ Manny Norte! which meant the music and entertainment was on point!

The evening culminated in a live PA from Wretch 32 which caused the crowd to go mad and mob the court.

Congratulations to RWD magazine for winning the tournament. no time for smoking cigars at the event but had a great night all the same.

All was not lost, I got a picture with Mario from TOWIE
